1. Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program
a. Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program has three categories and they are as follows:
Manitoba Invitation Stream:
This stream involves as the name suggest you actually needs a Letter of Invitation form Manitoba immigration office. Main highlight of this stream is that you don’t need to live in Canada for you to apply under this stream. Manitoba Support Stream:
This stream is for candidates that are having no job-offer from the province but have a personal connection in the province. Candidate’s connection is termed as “Manitoba Supporter”. Manitoba Supporter needs to have any one of the following connection to the supporter:
• Mother
• Father
• Sister
• Brother
• Grandmother
• Grandfather
• Niece or nephew
• Aunt or Uncle
• First Cousin
• Other relative
• Close friend
Requirements needed to be met by “Manitoba Supporter” are as follows:
• Should be able to prove, with documentation, current residency in Manitoba. Must have a minimum permanent residence of 1 year.
• Should be a permanent residence or a citizen.
• Proof that any previous supported applicant have found success as a resident of Manitoba.
• Be able to support the applicant as detailed in Settlement plans.
• Should have to prove close ties to the applicant.
Applicant must have a minimum of 60 points out of 100 scored in MPNP grid point. The grid point table is as follows:
• Age 10 points
• Adaptability 25 points
• Education 20 points
• Language Proficiency 25 points
• Work Experience 15 points
Individuals applying through this stream are required to have $10,000 CAD as well as an additional $2,000 CAD per each family member who will be accompanying them. This includes the spouse and any children.
Manitoba Experience Stream:
Manitoba PNP Connection – Experience stream is for temporary foreign worker and international students. With the support stream, the applicant must score 60 points in the MPNP point grid. Applicants must have one of the following:
• Full-time, skilled work experience in Manitoba for six months within past 10 years.
• Completion of post-secondary program in the province. Excludes the subject of language studies.
International students must have following:
• Be graduates of a post-secondary program located in Manitoba.
• Have a work permit from Citizenship and Immigration Canada(CIC).
• Be working full-time in the province.
• Should have an offer from an employer for full-time, long-term employment.
• Should have desire to live in the province.
The Manitoba PNP Experience Stream is a great option for international students who arrived in Winnipeg for school but wish to permanently make a home here after graduation. This stream is also an option for anyone who either worked or attended school here within the past 10 years and wishes to return permanently. This program is extremely popular among current students and recent graduates of the University of Manitoba, University of Winnipeg, Red River College, and Brandon University.
3. Manitoba Employment Stream
Stream is for those that are having job offers full-time for long term from the employers in the Manitoba province. Any time of occupation is valid in this stream. Applicants must have following:
• An offer of employment from the employer in the province.
• Should have language proficiency in English or French.
• Should be qualified for the job applying.
• Detailed settlement plants demonstrating how they plant to works, live and become part of the community in Manitoba.
For international student, they have to follow the requirements as following:
• Students from other provinces must have worked for their current Manitoba employer for last year.
• Graduates of a Manitoba post-secondary institution must have spent at least six months working for the employer who is offering them full-time work.
• Students must receive a post-graduate work permit within 60 days after graduating from a Canadian college or university.
• Students outside of Manitoba are ineligible for this stream.
Process for Manitoba Immigration Process
There are three typical scenarios involving Manitoba PNP Express Entry.
Manitoba Provincial Nomination Program Express Entry scenarios:
• Candidate can only apply through the Express Entry Skilled Worker program. The province can then select suitable applicants from this pool.
• Candidates can apply directly through the Manitoba Nomination Program. The province will then select applicant and will ask them to enter Express Entry pool.
• Candidates can be nominated directly by the MB PNP through the Skilled Worker and Business categories. The applicant doesn’t have to apply through the Express Entry program. Instead, after they’ve been approved by Manitoba, they’ll submit a separate application for permanent residency through the CIC (Citizenship and Immigration Canada).
The province has a total of 5,500 nominations to be selected for the permanent residency. When an immigrant in the Express Entry pool is then nominated by Manitoba, the applicant receives an additional 600 points under the Express Entry Comprehensive Ranking System. This results in an invitation to apply for permanent residence. The processing time of application is approximately six months or less.
While the Express Entry program is an important and effective method of establishing permanent residency in Canada, the specifics of the MPNP will be more important to those looking to immigrant specifically to the province of Manitoba. Often, completing the Manitoba PNP online will aid the applicant through the Express Entry Process. CIC Manitoba nominated candidates will be selected to apply for Canadian permanent residency through an Express Entry draw much sooner than if they did not have a provincial nomination or job offer.

EOI draws occurs various several times a year where highest-scoring candidates are connected to province to submit their permanent residency application.
